Sele Raya Belida Successfully Increases SAS-1 Well Production to Over 2,800 BOEPD
The Sungai Anggur Selatan-1 (SAS-1) well, located in the Belida Working Area, Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra, and operated by PT Sele Raya Belida, has successfully achieved production exceeding 2,800 BOEPD (barrels of oil equivalent per day) since it began operations on January 18, 2024.
This represents a significant increase of more than 1,600 BOEPD compared to the beginning of 2024.
General Manager of PT Sele Raya Belida, Juchiro Tampi, stated that production is expected to increase further, supported by the planned monetization of associated gas from the Sungai Anggur Selatan well, which is targeted to commence in 2024, pending approvals from SKK Migas and regulatory clearance related to gas flaring.
“We will continue to drive project development and production optimization of the SAS-1 well. In the near term, we are targeting production to reach approximately 3,000 BOPD,” he said.
To support field development, SKK Migas and PT Sele Raya Belida are currently conducting 3D seismic acquisition to assess further development potential within the Sungai Anggur Selatan structure. Additionally, an appraisal well drilling program is being prepared.
Doni Argiyanto, Exploration & Exploitation Manager of PT Sele Raya Belida, added that preparations for new well drilling are underway in coordination with SKK Migas to ensure timely execution.
Hudi D. Suryodipuro, Head of Program and Communication Division of SKK Migas, emphasized that these production enhancement efforts are part of a broader initiative to achieve national targets of 1 million BOPD of oil and 12 BSCFD of gas by 2030.
Moving forward, SKK Migas and PT Sele Raya Belida expect that the increased production from SAS-1 and future drilling plans will contribute positively to surrounding communities and support national oil and gas production growth.
